NEW OFFERINGS:

Hispanic Culture Series-Training series to guide practitioners in their work with Spanish speaking clients. Hispanic Culture and Resources will look at culture and the unique needs of Spanish speaking clients in the criminal justice system. It will also help staff identify differences based on country of origin and the resources available for the clients. The next 2 sessions will be intervention specific to aid in the work with Hispanic clients using MI and the group interventions.

Case Management Strategies-Working for Change-This course will assist case managers in on-going case management, building upon basic skills of assessment, MI and engagement. Case managers will learn and practice strategies to get change talk and behavior change.

STORM PROCEDURES

In case of inclement weather, please call 860-729-3989 after 6:00 a.m. When possible, staff will attempt to inform you the day before a scheduled training of the possibility of cancellation. If a course is cancelled, you will be notified of the rescheduled date.
